Vintage Marantz 2325 Receiver
*30 Day Warranty includes: from date of buyer receipt- parts and labor repair of the unit should it fail to functionally perform under normal conditions given the limitations detailed below.  In other words, a "blown channel" will be covered as long as you didn't short the speaker wires.  Problems with inherently user safe features such as AM/FM radio circuits and tone controls will be covered.  A control that is noisy from lack of regular use will not be covered.  Flaws mentioned below are specifically excluded from coverage.  The BUYER will be responsible for SAFE RETURN shipping at buyers expense.  Please understand eBay integrates only USPS into their return system.  USPS returns are
prohibitively
expensive (3x FEDEX Rates) and unsafe therefore USPS returns cannot be supported.  Interior components are documented and Item will be marked and SEALED.  A broken seal voids warranty.

This receiver was last serviced in June of 2018 by a McIntosh certified technician and has been a shelf queen since with only occasional use. The service included LED lamp modification for illumination and indicators for dial, MPX, function, etc.  Controls and switches cleaned.  All signal capacitors in tone control and both power output bards replaced.  It was tested at 150 WPC Left channel 0.9% and right channel 0.8% distortion.  FM MPX separation >45db.  Enjoyed at length just before listing.  Sounds and works great except for the following known issues: the volume control is not linear at low volumes with one channel slightly louder than the other.  Balance control is fine.  If you are constantly changing volume while listening in the sweet spot you may want to replace the potentiometer.  Not
noticeable
during anything other than most critical use while in center sweet spot.  The FM tuner center channel meter is sticky/
intermittent
.  The signal strength meter works fine.  FM/AM has good reception. Since no Dolby module the functionality is untested.
The volume shaft is slightly bent as shown in photo.  Not sure what the "multipath" button is supposed to do but it does not stay depressed. The tape monitor input jacks mounting is broken/loose as shown in photo.  Please see photos for cosmetic condition.

For example, switches may be noisy if they have not been exercised in a while, illumination lamps (and power supplies) tend to blow when powering up and power switches are failure prone.  It is recommended to power up your system with a power strip and periodically power up ALL your equipment to re-form capacitors and work switches vigorously to clean contacts.
Best advice from technicians is to use and enjoy the unit often.  If you are a collector, power up your collection once a month to re-set capacitors, dry out humidity, etc., and use power strips with switches to keep from cycling hard to replace and failure prone unit power switches.
A period of time may have passed since the unit was serviced and listed on eBay and purchased - so controls may need to be worked again upon un-boxing.
