Description

Since 1982, the "Karavella-203-stereo" network transistorized microphone has been produced by the Kirovsky plant "Ladoga". Electrophone for playing back recordings from mono and stereo records. The peculiarity of this electrophone is the vertical position of the record being played. All this required the solution of technical problems related to the elimination of the influence of the imbalance of the gramophone record leading to a change in the playback speed, increased requirements for the tonearm of the pickup and the disc assembly. For the EF of the 2nd group of complexity, solutions that are admissible in terms of costs for the models of the highest group turned out to be unsuitable, so the necessary parameters were obtained - the use of a high-speed system for stabilizing the rotational speed of the disk and the tangential arm of the original design. The Karavella-203-stereo differs from other electrophones in a number of new consumer qualities. So the direct drive of the disk was shown, from a super-low-speed asynchronous arc-stator motor with electronic speed stabilization, a pickup based on a tangential tonearm and a piezoceramic head of the GZK-208 type was used, a stroboscope with built-in illumination and smooth adjustment of the disk rotation frequency, a vernier manual movement device was used ... pickup heads with blocking of working position movement, record holder on the EPU disk axis, record cleaner. The EF is equipped with two broadband bass-reflex speakers, the LF path is characterized by a low level of nonlinear distortion. The electrophone has for the second group of complexity: These are separate volume controls, tone controls for high and low frequencies of sound, the properties of "mono and stereo" models, inputs and record format, a hitchhiking shutdown device. The disc rotation frequency is 33 and 45 rpm. Knock coefficient 0.2%. Rated output power 2x3 W. The range of sound frequencies for voltage is 40 ... 20,000 Hz, for sound pressure is 80 ... 16,000 Hz.
